Spice and Wolf

Spice and Wolf is a nice little anime that came out last January. A year later, it's still one of my favorites. It's based on a light novel series, and though it's been licensed over here, it has yet to be released in America. The series, set in medieval Europe, is about a travelling merchant named Lawrence who is asked by giant wolf diety Horo (in the form of a 15-year-old girl) to bring her to her home in the north. It's kind of a slow series, but it has a certain charm to it. Action scenes are few and far between, and the series is carried by Horo and Lawrence's interaction. While Horo and Lawrence bicker on a fairly regular basis, they do care for each other, and they help each other out. As of now, the series is only 13 episodes long. A second season has been confirmed, but a release date has not been set yet.
Like I said, it's slow, and a lot of other viewers I know found the parts about the economics of Lawrence's endeavors as a merchant confusing and boring. But it has a nice mood to it, and I'd say it's definitely worth a watch.

FMA: A Second Season?

I love Full Metal Alchemist! Edward is hot, even as a short guy, and I <3>

I heard that FMA, another name for Full Metal Alchemist, is going to have a second season. I read about it in Animerica (an anime magazine). I have to say, since I LOVE the show, I'd be super psyched if they came out with more, but I thought the ending was good and I'm afraid they'll mess up the series if they try to extend it anymore... x( But if they continued it from the manga, I'd like that. :)

I just looked up some info on Google, and this one website (listed below) says that instead of continuing the story from the movie (FMA: Conqueror of Shamballa), they're going to continue it from the manga, which is different from the anime (for those of you who didn't know).
I CAN'T WAIT!!!! XD XD XD XD XD

Kyo Kara Maoh! xD

So, I've been watching this new anime that my friend Allison let me borrow. It's called Kyo Kara Maoh, where the main character, whose name I can't remember, gets sucked into an alternate world through water. He ends up being crowned the demon king, and has to lead the demon country. It's pretty ridiculous, but really funny. :) The demon people are really just humans who side with the magic-users, and the enemies of the demon tribe (who are also humans) just call them demons. At least, I think that's the jist of it. :/

First Blog EVER :O

Wellll, this is the first blog entry for the Tuscarora Anime Club. This blog will inform the anime fans (like us xD) about club activities and anime related stuff like conventions and stuff and stuff...

Katsucon is coming up, and the club president (Darrell) has 10 people staying in the hotel room! :O But that's okay, because we're true anime fans! *pumps fist in air determinedly*

Yesterday in anime club, we watched an anime called ARIA where Mars or something has been terraformed to look like Venice, Italy. It's really pretty. Akari, the main character, lives in Neo-Venezia, where she dreams of being a gondola Undine, or a gondola master! (Like Pokemon!!) ^.^

ANYWAYS, we're planning to give the e-mail address and password to all the club members so everyone can make their own entries on here! A communal blog! :D
